  • Planning standards: BNB Gold, very high requirements, EnEV New building 2009 – 50% through selection of wood fibre insulation/Earth plaster for energy efficiency
  • Opening of Environmental Ministry to the city and surroundings; open new link through Bismarckplatz and courtyard tot the parks on Koenigsallee, open public Foyer, Exhibition, Library and Cafe
  • Removal of earlier extensions; build extension to the existing organisational grid structure of the heritage building with three-storey laboratory building (Ground floor public areas);
  • use of existing staircases and corridors
  • Resolution of the central corridor (office use) through communications zones in the centre of each respective area, communication and transparence through extensive glazing
