The Flexim Company is an international established manufacturer and leading developer in the field of clamp-on ultrasonic flow measurement systems with a growth potential of approx. 20% p.a. Based on a long-term growth strategy the company has acquired an extensive plot of land along the Boxberger Straße in Berlin-Marzahn to realize their new headquarter building.

  • Courtyard concept based on the internal production and logistic process of the users
  • Realisation of the first building phase of the complex with two 'courts' which, in connection with the entrance court, establish the company address on the Boxberger Straße
  • 'Boulevard' on the first floor contains the large portion of meeting and social spaces creating a communicative special zone as well as forming the connection between courts A and B
  • Economic building structural system with prioritised use of CO2 neutral building materials (timber and cellulose)
  • Construction: hybrid timber/concrete skeleton with attached facade (timber frame construction), basement floor in reinforced concrete
  • Around 30% below EnEV (2009) energy use standards
  • About 80% of heat supply by waste water heat recovery with heat recovery exchanger
